Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting pharmacists in delivering high-quality patient care within a clinical setting. This position requires strong communication skills, a commitment to patient service, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Working well in a team, as a lead, is essential. Most importantly, must follow the existing policies and procedures and make excellent recommendations, if identified.
Duties
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, immunizations, and other critical care treatments.
- Maintain accurate patient records and medication administration logs, ensuring compliance with medical terminology and regulations.
- Perform aseptic techniques to ensure the safe preparation of sterile products.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care and support medication therapy management.
- Educate patients, listen to their needs, and produce the correct outcome.
- Monitor inventory levels of medications and supplies, placing orders as necessary to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives to enhance pharmacy operations and patient safety.
- Commit to 100 % accurate, safe, precise, patient-centric medication management and also think about and make suggestions about constant quality improvement.
- Must think of one person (as a whole entity) at a time. This includes their complete medication regimen and health...their family, children, parents, pets, and more!
- Must think of how you can allevite burdens the patient may be going through and make their life easier and take action steps as the person is ready.
Skills
Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, specialty medication packaging of complex regimens, and acute care environments.Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare providers.Proficiency in aseptic technique and IV infusion preparation.Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to medication administration and patient care.Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.Critical thinking skills to assess situations and make informed decisions regarding medication management.Join our team as a Pharmacy Technician where your contributions will directly impact patient health outcomes!The person must be committed, caring, kind, and passionate about escalating the Pharmacist's role through independent, community Pharmacy and also assist with paperwork, forms, licensing, credentialing, advanced CDTA development and implementation, and on and off-site vaccination clinics.Thank you for your interest!
