Position : Legal Assistant – Trusts & Estates

Location : 100% In-Office (supporting 2–3 attorneys)

Work Hours : Monday – Friday, 8 : 30 AM – 5 : 00 PM (7.5 hours / day)

Start Date : ASAP

Compensation : $23 – $35 per hour (based on experience)

Parking : Yes, 80% paid by HWH

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Legal Assistant to join our Trusts & Estates department . The successful candidate will provide critical support to attorneys in all aspects of estate planning and administration. This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage attorneys’ day-to-day schedules and proactively anticipate needs.

Create, edit, and proofread legal documents and correspondence.

Maintain calendars, including appointments, meetings, and travel.

Process reimbursements, expense reports, and check requests.

Input, review, edit, and close attorneys’ time entries in accordance with firm standards.

Handle monthly client billing, including reviewing prebills and making necessary edits.

Open new matters, run client conflict checks, and maintain attorney work files.

Index, organize, and prepare files for off-site storage.

Ensure confidentiality of all firm and client information.

Qualifications

Minimum 1–2 years of Trusts & Estates legal assistant experience required.

• OR 3+ years of executive / legal assistant experience in a professional setting.

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint .

Experience with document management and time entry systems preferred.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent grammar and attention to detail.

Highly organized, with the ability to manage shifting priorities and meet deadlines.

Professional demeanor with a client-focused attitude.

Billing experience (including electronic billing) preferred.

BA / BS degree preferred, but not required.
