Job Description
The Senior Manager, Clinical Education Programs, provides strategic leadership and oversight of clinical education, competency assessment, and staff development across multiple Ambulatory Surgery Centers. This role develops and manages education programs that strengthen clinical excellence, promote compliance, and enhance patient outcomes. Working collaboratively with nursing, operations, and quality teams, the Senior Manager fosters a culture of learning, professional growth, and continuous improvement across the ASC network.
Qualifications
Required :
- Registered Nurse (RN) with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- 7 to 10 years of experience in patient or staff education, including the development of continuing nurse education programs.
- Minimum of 7 years in management.
- Current, unrestricted RN license to practice in Texas.
- Strong clinical and personnel management skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and digital communication tools.
- Current BLS certification.
- Demonstrated problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
Preferred :
Master’s degree in Nursing Education.10 or more years of nursing administration experience with a clinical education focus and ambulatory surgery center background.Specialty certifications related to nursing education or ambulatory care.Advanced communication and public relations skills and experience with medical equipment used in ASCs.BLS Instructor certification.Familiarity with the Texas Nurse Practice Act, TBON regulations, and nursing peer-review processes.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Lead the Clinical Education team in designing and delivering orientation, continuing education, and competency programs aligned with ASC goals.Collaborate with leadership to identify learning needs, improve clinical outcomes, and foster professional growth.Ensure educational programs meet all regulatory, accreditation, and professional requirements.Oversee recruitment, development, and performance of clinical education staff while maintaining a positive, learning-focused environment.Manage departmental budgets and implement cost-effective educational strategies.Participate in quality and patient-safety initiatives, utilizing data and evidence-based practices to improve program outcomes.Lead or support nursing peer review, compliance, and performance-improvement efforts in accordance with the Texas Nurse Practice Act and TBON standards.Build partnerships with academic institutions to strengthen clinical education pipelines.
