Are you interested in defining possible? Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a candidate to fill a Software Test Engineer / Principal Software Test Engineer position. This role is located in Chantilly, VA at the SIGINT Technology Center (STC), which supports UAV SIGINT payloads, data link development, and related OCONUS / CONUS mission / maintenance tasks. The program focuses on daily tasking dictated by the customer mission and a 24 / 7 / 365 tempo managed by IPT leads, including troubleshooting, maintenance guidance, upgrades, and interfacing with field service representatives and government customers.

The Software Test Engineer in this position will support taskable engineering, operations, and maintenance (O&M) task orders. Responsibilities include developing knowledge of software architecture and products, authoring and updating software test procedures, executing test procedures, deriving software requirements, and performing regression testing. Opportunities may include CONUS flight test events, product and engineering solution development, system or software design, and assisting with build and test of production systems.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Install, test, and verify software products
• Execute software test procedures on System Integration Labs (SILs) or development environments
• Develop, review, and update documentation including test procedures and reports
• Develop test procedures to ensure data pipeline integrity and reliability
• Support system design, testing, and upgrading capabilities including software and hardware integration and test (I&T)
• Create automation of testing environment to improve workflow
• Develop a general understanding of software concepts and infrastructure
• Acquire knowledge of system and software architecture & mission operations

This requisition may be filled at either the Software Test Engineer or Principal Software Test Engineer level.
