About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience : 2 years of direct liver / transplant RN experience required

License : Current RN License

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (must obtain prior to start)

Must-Have :

Strong liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant experience reflected on skills checklist

Proficient in MISONIX / CUSA

Experience putting organs back in patients, not just harvesting

Description :

The position involves working in the operating room with a focus on liver transplants.

Candidates will also be involved in other cases if no liver / transplant cases are available.

All candidates must have strong liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant experience.

MISONIX / CUSA proficiency is required for this role.

The selected candidates must be able to put organs back in new patients.

Candidates who have only harvesting experience will not be considered.

The position requires participation in training students and new staff.

Nicotine-free candidates are mandatory, as it's a smoke-free facility.

All time-sensitive modules must be prioritized once confirmed for the assignment.

Any requests for time off must be included at the time of submission; late requests will not be approved.

Candidates should have a willingness to float within scope to meet facility needs.

On-call requirements include one shift per week and two 12-hour weekend shifts per month.

Candidates must have experience with general OR procedures and specific transplant protocols.

This role is in a teaching facility, requiring the candidate's engagement in educating others.

All references must come from a direct supervisor or manager within the last 18 months.

No license hits will be accepted during the application process.
