About The Position
Medix is partnering with a facility to find a dedicated Travel CT Technologist for a 13-week assignment starting ASAP. This travel position primarily involves performing CT procedures to aid physicians in accurate medical diagnoses, with cross-training opportunities available in Mammography and / or MRI based on facility needs. This is an in-person role where the clinician may be assigned to any of our client's multiple outpatient locations within a commutable distance from the main Nashville, TN office.

Shift : Monday - Friday, 9 : 00 AM - 5 : 30 PM (40 hours per week). No on-call requirement.

Primary Responsibilities & Duties
Perform high-quality Computed Tomography (CT) procedures to produce diagnostic images.
Conduct X-Ray and Bone Density scans as needed.
Document clinically appropriate results for physician review and maintain records according to policy.
Operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment, including knowledge of startup procedures and calibration. The facility uses a Lightspeed 64 Slice CT scanner.
Utilize hard-copy devices, film-processing equipment, and archiving systems (EHR / PACS : InteleViewer ).
Administer contrast media, perform venipuncture, and ensure proper documentation and aseptic technique.
Comply strictly with radiation safety protocol to provide a safe environment for all patients and staff, including inquiring about potential pregnancy for females of childbearing age.
Modify patient care and education approach based on the all-ages patient population and their cognitive states.
Adhere to all facility and departmental safety requirements.
Assess for FDA approval for age groups and specific dosing of contrast media.

Job Requirements
Education : At least a two-year certification in Radiologic Sciences or a related field (or foreign equivalent).
Experience : Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience, plus at least two years of experience in venipuncture, aseptic technique, universal precautions and documentation, contrast administration, and use of power injector.
Certifications / Licensure :
Current registration with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) (CT) .
Active Tennessee State Medical X-Ray Operator License .
