Med / Surg RN Job Details

Location : Montour Falls, NY 14865 (Upstate New York nursing jobs)

Healthcare Setting : Medical Surgical Unit

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (March 17, 2025 – June 16, 2025)

Shift : 12-hour night shifts (3 shifts per week)

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1,950 - $2,090 per week

Employment Type : Travel RN, W2

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State

At least 1 year of recent Med / Surg nursing experience

Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, and PALS

Ability to serve as charge nurse as needed

Excellent communication and critical thinking skills

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Medical Surgical unit

Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and progress

Administer prescribed medications and treatments

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans

Act as charge nurse when required, providing leadership and support

Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and post-discharge instructions
