Overview :
FlexTek on behalf of PrimeFlight Aviation Services is seeking an HR Coordinator to join our growing team at Richmond International Airport (RIC) . This position plays a vital role in supporting our local operations by assisting with daily HR functions, ensuring smooth onboarding experiences, and maintaining positive employee relations.
As an integral member of the HR team, you will help manage recruitment, training coordination, benefits support, and general HR administration. Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and operational support to the HR department across all core HR functions
- Assist with recruiting and hiring activities including screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting interviews for frontline positions
- Coordinate onboarding processes including new hire paperwork, orientations, and airport badging credentialing
- Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential employee records in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards
- Support benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and employee inquiries
- Prepare and distribute HR communications, policy updates, and notices to employees
- Assist in maintaining HR documentation such as employee handbooks, policies, and procedures
- Respond to employee questions regarding HR policies, benefits, payroll, and workplace procedures
- Support employee relations activities, including documentation and conflict resolution assistance
- Track and support performance management processes and employee evaluations
- Prepare employment verification letters and other HR-related correspondence as needed
- Assist with employee recognition, engagement, and retention initiatives
- Maintain and update HRIS and other systems to ensure accuracy of employee data
- Support compliance efforts by staying current on applicable labor laws, airport regulations, and company standards
- Assist with employee offboarding, including exit interviews and documentation
- Collaborate with management and other departments to ensure smooth HR processes and communication
- Perform other HR-related duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications
18 years of age or older and legally eligible to work in the United StatesValid state-issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving recordPrior HR or administrative experience preferred (aviation or operations environment a plus)Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)Strong communication skills—verbal and written—with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organizationExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to handle confidential information with discretionFlexibility to work extended hours as needed to support field operationsMust pass a background check and drug screenAbility to obtain all required airport credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs, and U.S. Postal as applicable)Willingness to work flexible hours in support of a 24 / 7 aviation operation , including nights, weekends, and holidaysPhysical & Work Environment Requirements
