Metro Services is looking to hire a QC Engineering Technician for an Electronics Manufacturing company in Sharpsville, IN. The QC Engineering Technician is responsible for supporting the Quality department's tasks. The QC Engineering Technician primarily focuses on getting products through the department in a timely manner by maintaining the database and providing support to Production and Purchasing. Duties for this position include :
Maintaining QC Database
- Entering New QC items
- Determining and maintaining QC items tests for incoming inspections
- Performing first article inspections
- Creating and maintaining QC report
Internal Non-Conformances
Providing production support for all quality issuesPerforming internal investigationsCreating MRRs and initiating CARs when applicableVendor Returns (VRMAs)
Performing initial investigationsCreating MRRs and VRMAs when neededPreparing and communicating information internallyIn Process Repair
Test offline unitsTroubleshoot offline unitsRead schematic / PCB layoutDetermine the cause of failureDisposition of offline unitsSoldering / desoldering electronic componentsIncoming Inspection
Visually inspecting incoming componentsPerform measurements using calibrated equipmentPerform inspection testsDispositioning QC receiverLog data from testsCustomer Returns (RMAs)
Inspect productCommunicate status interdepartmentallyRepair / refurbish units for stockTest returned productDisposition of returned productQuality Control Team Member
Maintain the flow of quality materialsComponent trainingSolder trainingInvestigate quality anomaliesMaintain a clean and organized lab areaEngineering Team Member
Attend and contribute to team meetingsProvide information and support to FDI team membersCommunicates and represents the organization to customers and other external sourcesEstablish and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationshipsOther duties as assigned
Compensation (USD) :
$50,000 - $70,000 / year depending on experience
Quarterly Bonus Program
Schedule : Monday - Friday
7 : 00 a.m. - 4 : 00 p.m.
All candidates must have an expert level of the following skillset :
Advanced knowledge of product installation environmentAdvanced knowledge of production analysis techniquesDemonstrated proficiency in Microsoft OfficeKnowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and modelsKnowledge of the practical application of applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and servicesKnowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenanceAbility to distinguish between colorsGood communication skills both written and verbalStrong organizational skillsMust work with safety in mind, follow safety procedures and policiesSuccessful candidates must meet the following requirements :
Strong working knowledge of Excel with the ability to analyze data, and use pivot tables, graphs, and charts is REQUIREDAssociate's Degree in Electrical Engineering required, Bachelor's Degree preferredMinimum 2 years of experience as an FDI tester or inspector or related outside experiencePrior experience with SyteLine is a plus but not required3 years of experience in a quality-related positionPrior knowledge of electrical components or 3 years of work experienceLearn more about us by visiting our website at metroindustrialservices.com.
