Role Overview :
We’re looking for a Ready-to-Wear Merchant to join our team in Los Angeles. This role sits at the intersection of product, design, and storytelling—bridging creative vision with commercial strategy. You’ll partner across design, production, PD, sales, e-commerce, and creative to make sure every piece in the collection delivers on both brand and business goals. This is a highly cross-functional role that blends analytical thinking with a strong product eye. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and passionate about building a thoughtful, elevated assortment that connects with our customer.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and execute seasonal and annual merchandising strategies for RTW that achieve sales, margin, and brand objectives.
- Build and communicate seasonal line plans to guide Design, Product Development, and Production from concept through delivery.
- Curate, merchandise, and present assortments that reflect brand DNA while driving sales and profitability across channels.
- Partner cross-functionally on pricing, chase programs, and in-season opportunities, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Lead weekly RTW meetings and maintain trackers for business performance, production issues, and calendar milestones.
- Attend fittings and collaborate with Design and Production on fit adjustments, quality standards, and final approvals.
- Manage key seasonal milestones including LA Market, ISM, GSM, and SMS, ensuring readiness across all partners and assets.
- Support creative deliverables—coordinating campaign, lookbook, and e-commerce shoots, reviewing retouching, and maintaining accuracy in color, fabric, and fit.
- Analyze sales and style performance (bookings, sell out, returns) to inform future assortments and identify growth opportunities.
- Maintain expert understanding of the customer, product performance, and competitive landscape through ongoing store visits and feedback loops.
- Partner with cross-functional teams on collaborations, capsule collections, and off-price strategy from concept through launch.
- Oversee pricing uploads, JOOR updates, and style data accuracy across all touchpoints
Skills & Qualifications :
3+ years of experience in merchandising within a fashion or apparel brand.Deep understanding of the RTW lifecycle—from concept through delivery.Skilled in Excel, PowerPoint, and platforms like JOOR / 42 / Blue Cherry.Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines.Strong cross-functional communicator who thrives in a collaborative environment.Naturally curious about fabrications, fit, and customer experience.Brings a clean, elevated aesthetic and strong commercial intuition.You’ll love this role if you :
