Job Summary

The Event Coordinator will be responsible for managing all aspects of event planning and execution. This includes working closely with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure each event is successful and meets the highest standards of quality. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in event management, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Job Functions

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute a variety of events, including corporate events, conferences, trade shows, and special occasions
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, goals, and requirements for each event
  • Develop detailed event plans, timelines, and budgets
  • Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and venues
  • Oversee event logistics, including registration, transportation, catering, audiovisual needs, and accommodations
  • Coordinate with marketing and communications teams to promote events and maximize attendance
  • Coordinate on-site event staff and volunteers to ensure smooth event operations
  • Monitor event activities to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and laws, satisfaction of participants, and resolution of any problems that arise
  • Conduct post-event evaluations to determine success and areas for improvement
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices to continually enhance our event offerings
  • Coordinate marketing efforts with the marketing and sales team to fill the event
  • Work with and communicate clearly with our sales and delivery teams to produce and deliver events and content
  • Evaluate metrics and lead / lag measures
  • Operates within FranklinCovey corporate identity guidelines and company communication standards
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as necessary
  • Travel as necessary for onsite events, training, and team meetings

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, Marketing or a directly related field
  • 2+ years of experience in event planning
  • Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale events
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Proficient in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite
