VP, Head Of Product
We are a growing healthcare technology and tech-enabled services company at an exciting and pivotal point in our journey. As we expand even deeper into SaaS, BPaaS, automated, and AI-first solutions, we are building a product suite that will transform how health plans unlock the value trapped in structured-unstructured clinical and administrative data. This is a unique opportunity to lead the Product function of a company that has doubled in size in the past 2 years. We're looking for a strategic, execution-oriented product leader who can define and deliver transformative enterprise solutions for the payer market.
As VP, Head of Product, you will lead the strategy, roadmap, and execution of our existing and future product offerings for the health plan and MSO spaces. You'll be responsible for translating market pain points into Tech / AI-enabled solutions that solve complex problems across claims operations, contact center, risk adjustment, prior authorization, compliance, and document processing.
You will partner with and report to the CTO to improve our CODYsoft solution, our claims operations, and our contact center. You will partner with our Chief Product Officer (CPO-DT), Digital Transformation to support her work on improving our Digital Mailroom / Print-to-EDI solution. You will work with our CTO, our CPO-DT, our CEO, and our Board to develop and launch new, successful products.
You'll work closely with engineering, data science, ops SMEs, GTM leaders, and payer stakeholders to deliver solutions that are not only innovative but compliant, scalable, and impactful. We are looking for a dynamic individual to be the 'face' of our tech evolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and own the product vision and multi-year roadmap for our product portfolio in the healthcare payer space.
- Develop a deep understanding of the challenges across revenue optimization, quality improvement, utilization management, and compliance.
- Identify opportunities to differentiate via NLP, OCR, LLMs, and AI technologies.
Execution & Delivery
Apply best practice Product Development (e.g. Pragmatic Marketing) to ensure the company arrives at the right answers for go-forward solutions.Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle : ideation, market validation, requirements, MVP definition, go-to-market readiness, and post-launch iterations.Drive prioritization based on business impact, regulatory urgency, and technical feasibility.Translate business use cases into actionable technical requirements for data science and engineering teams.Leadership & Collaboration
Operate in a matrix environment to achieve goals.Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, clinical experts, compliance, marketing, and sales to bring successful products to market.Act as the primary product evangelist with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, partners, social media, the press, and regulators.Interact frequently with ELT (Executive Leadership Team), Board Members, and the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).Customer & Market Insights
Regularly engage with health plans, vendor-partners MSOs and IPAs, and industry thought leaders to gather feedback and validate product-market fit.Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes (e.g., CMS, NCQA), and competitor movements to inform strategic decisions.Qualifications
10+ years of product leadership experience, including at least 5 years in healthcare (payer, health tech, tech-enabled services).Proven success in building and launching AI / ML / NLP-powered products, ideally involving Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) across structure and unstructured data.Deep understanding of health plan operations, including HCC / RAF, HEDIS, prior auth, claims processing, EDI transactions, care management, and compliance.Strong technical fluency able to collaborate closely with engineering and data science teams and make informed tradeoffs.Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, transformation-oriented environment.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to align executives, clinicians, and technologists around a shared vision.Desired Qualifications
Experience with AI platforms or vendors in the IDP space (e.g., AWS Comprehend Medical, Google Healthcare NLP, Hyland, Indico, etc.)Familiarity with healthcare data standards (e.g., FHIR, HL7, CCD), and CMS risk and quality programs.Background in a startup or high-growth environment, ideally leading product transformation efforts.Ability to communicate our vision via social media, interviews, blogs, conferences.MCS, MSSE, MBA, MPH, or advanced degree in healthcare, technology, or business.What You'll Get
