JOB SUMMARY
Manage the day to day activities for the Purchasing Organization for Samsung SDI America Battery Systems which includes Commodity Purchasing, Program Purchasing, Pre-Production Prototype Purchasing, and Non-Production Purchasing functions.Manage KPI reporting and achievement for Purchasing team.
ESSENTIAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Enforce and continuously develop Purchasing processes and procedures.
- Complete pricing for new product acquisition process
- Manage costs to ensure reductions during development and serial production
- Coordinate Purchasing teams from Samsung SDI around the world to establish best supply base, leverage spend, reduce costs and share information.
- Develop Commodity supply base and ensure new suppliers meet onboarding requirements
- Negotiate and approve Terms and Conditions between Samsung SDI and Suppliers
- Attend and prepare Buyers and Cross Functional Teams for Internal and Global Sourcing Review Board
- Approve Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders
- Manage Supplier Scorecards including Purchasing portion of the rating and scorecard distribution
- Complete Performance reviews and evaluation of Purchasing team
- Understand and cascade customer requirements to supply base
REQUIREMENTS
7 years of experience in multiple disciplines of PurchasingBachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or Related field, Master’s Degree desiredBi-lingual in Korean and English languagesExcellent verbal, written communication, organizational, and analytical skillsAbility to multitask while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and organizationExceptional Interpersonal and Leadership skillsProficient in Microsoft ExcelExcellent work ethic and drive to ensure success regardless of obstaclesINTERNAL TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
