Overview

ATG Architect responsible for delivering design and implementation for ATG e-Commerce solutions within a contract-to-hire engagement.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to spearhead the design from business use-cases through design model.
• Must be highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Experience in all phases of the software development life-cycle.
• Experience developing in J2EE framework : EJB, JSP, Servlet, JMS, JNDI, JDBC, JMX, RMI.
• Applied knowledge of designing n-Tier OO system architectures using EJB technologies.
• Applied experience with OOD and UML; knowledge of Design Patterns.
• Strong experience with ATG e-Commerce platform and tools.
• Experience with large systems that utilize J2EE technologies, particularly e-Commerce.
• Knowledge of Web Services Standards (SOAP, XML, WSDL, UDDI) a plus.
• Experience with standard Internet protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, POP, FTP, SMTP).
• Applied experience with RDBMS design and development; back-end connectivity to databases.
• Ability to understand the big picture of retail and manage multiple projects (including estimations).
• Risk mitigation capability; collaborate with enterprise, security and data architects to articulate functional / nonfunctional requirements and architecture.
• Exposure to scope creep control through ATG technical expertise; involvement in Discovery, Estimation, and Design phases.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and timelines; experience with a GDD model.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
