Certified Medical Assistant Busy internal medicine practice is seeking a CMA in Deerfield, IL to join our team.
Responsibilities Include :
- Direct patient care
- Triaging and rooming patients
- Documenting and gathering patient medical information (vitals)
- Familiar with administering an EKG and other in-office clinical testing
- Assist with admin duties : scheduling appointments, maintaining and updating patient information in the EHR
- Familiar with insurance eligibility verification from multiple payers and contracts
- Liaison between patients & physician
- Administer injections
- Take and communication prescription refill requests to physician
- Familiar with Electronic Medical Record, experience with Aprima preferred, but not required
- Collection and documentation of patient demographics and administer health screenings
- Medical terminology required
Requirements / Education :
Flexible Position hours / Salary :
Compensation : Starting $19 / hr, based on experience
Flexible hours vary, patient office hours Monday-Friday 9am-4pm, alternating Saturdays 9am-1pm
