Mechanical Service Technician - Powers - South Arkansas

Our Mechanical Service Technicians are responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems utilizing knowledge of refrigeration, electrical, control systems, welding, and plumbing. As a Powers technician, you are also responsible for excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Analyze, plan, and perform preventive maintenance of HVAC systems.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and make modifications to HVAC systems.
- Adhere to all city, state, and federal regulatory statutes.
- Maintain maintenance records.
- Order and maintain parts as needed to repair and maintain HVAC equipment.
- Manage relationships with all vendor accounts.
- Properly maintain and safeguard Powers assets.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities
Able to organize work and meet deadlines.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.Understands and has mastered the refrigeration cycles.Understands refrigeration recovery, evacuation, and charging.Understands and has mastered the heating cycle.Understands and has mastered electron theory, how electricity travels, AC and DC currents, single phase and three phase circuits, and series and parallel circuits.Understands the fundamentals of temperature and humidity measurement and its relationship to temperature, humidity, cleanliness, and distribution.Understands and has mastered all types of HVAC systems and how each component within the system operates in conjunction with the other components and how that impacts the overall operations of the system as a whole.Knowledge of Windows operating systems.Qualifications

Able to lift and carry 10-50 lbs. and up to 100 lbs. with assistance, sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, reach, repetitive hand motions, hear, speak, may experience prolonged and irregular hours, and work with frequent interruptions.Must be able to pass a background check, drug screening and have a clean driving record.This is a Safety Sensitive position.
