This is a virtual position in the United States where you will work from your personal residence in a distraction free space. We are currently hiring / performing work in : any US state.

Mesa seeks a senior level substation design engineer with at least 15 years of recent and progressively responsible experience performing substation design and / or QA / QC including but not limited to :

• Development of general arrangement, equipment plans, elevations, sections, control house layouts, grounding design, conduit and cable design, creation of bills of materials, and cable schedules utilizing Microsoft Office and AutoCAD software.
• Perform electrical physical design for substations ranging from 4kV to 500kV.
• Work in a project team environment with engineers and other designers involved in high and extra-high voltage substations.
• Interpret and incorporate vendor information into design deliverables.
• Properly apply client's substation design standards to the work.
• High level understanding of SCE and Industry Standards.
• Work on multiple projects concurrently.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following :

Supervision of less experienced engineers or technical support personnel is exercised on an assignment basis and is not an on-going substantial component at this level.

Benefits :

Annual Salary Range :

$95,680 - $170,560

The expected compensation is a range determined by factors including but not limited to education, experience, and qualifications of the candidate, internal equity, work location, and hiring department’s fiscal resources.
