A Behavior Analysis Coach, under the direction of Autism Program supervisors, provides coaching and direct support to behavior technician staff within the ABA / Autism Program, as well as providing direct behavioral intervention to children in the program. A Behavior Analysis Coach works in a variety of Community Mental Health, local community, and family home settings, providing one-on-one services related to the delivery of comprehensive or focused behavior intervention to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, neurological disorders, or other developmental disabilities. An employee in this class performs paraprofessional level work activities requiring a general working knowledge of the mental health field and behavior analysis; and provides services related to behavior assessment, treatment planning, and implementation of written behavior plans. Performs other related duties as assigned.1. Be a high school graduate or have successfully completed the General Educational Development Test (GED). An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a human services field, preferred.
2. Must have a minimum of one (1 ) year of experience working as a behavior technician in the field of ABA / Autism.
3. Must be credentialed as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) by the BACB.
4. Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to obtain a Michigan Driver License within 30 days of employment.
5. Must have reliable transportation that may have to be used to carry out job duties of this classification.

2. Lived experiences with mental illness / developmental disabilities / substance use disorders valued.
3. Individuals in Recovery and individuals with experience in Armed Services valued.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES
A Behavior Analysis Coach must be in good physical condition, such as to allow for the lifting of objects weighing 50 pounds or more and for standing or walking for extended periods of time. A Behavior Analysis Coach must be able to lift and transfer consumers from wheelchairs to other surfaces as needed. This employee must be able to perform physical intervention techniques as trained and approved by the agency.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
A Behavior Analysis Coach works in the office, community and homes of consumers served. Travel throughout the County to see individuals in their homes or other community locations by use of a company vehicle or personal vehicle is required.
EVALUATION CONTENT
Applicants for County employment may be subject to a post-offer criminal background check, depending on the nature and assignment of the position. When such check is conducted, an offer of employment is contingent upon the results of the criminal background check. Appointees must satisfactorily complete a probationary period before the appointment will be considered permanent.
