Health, Safety & Security Manager

Reporting to the VP Projects, the Health, Safety & Security Manager, as part of the leadership team, will oversee all Health, Safety, and Security aspects of the Stibnite Gold Project (SGP) through pre-construction, execution and handover to operations. This role is a key project position, that will ensure together with contractors Perpetua Resources HSS requirements are achieved. The HSS Manager will play an integral role in the SGP organization, managing the Health, Safety, and Security teams to facilitate operations of the Owners and Contractors Construction delivery teams in a safe manner and consistent with all requirements. This role will indirectly report to the Stibnite Gold Project Manager to ensure effective coordination and addressing of project needs. As the HSS Manager, he / she is responsible for ensuring the planning, implementation, monitoring and control of project health, safety & security programs. This role will apply complex and diversified techniques, principles, theories and mining industry practices. This role requires close liaison and coordination with the Project Manager and their team, as well as Operations and Corporate shared service groups (legal, social, finance etc.) as required. This position requires extensive field experience, familiarity with the standard Microsoft Suite and ERP systems, ability to assess and implement procedures, capability to assess estimates, experience in managing and ensuring interaction and interfaces are well coordinated and integrated between the Owners Team, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Management (EPCM) Service Providers, as well as other contractors and vendors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain and demonstrate Perpetuas commitment to safety, security, environmental stewardship, and sustainability as core values.
• Maintaining strong working relationships at job sites with client representatives, local community members, subcontractors, suppliers, and employees.
• Ensure project compliance with Perpetua Resources health, safety and environmental systems and standards.
• Adhere to applicable regulations (i.e., federal, state / province, and local), permit conditions, and generally accepted good engineering, construction and management practices.
• Review, assess, approve and monitor the contractors health, safety, and security systems.
• Advise and coach all project contractors in occupational health, safety, security and training strategies.
• Manage Perpetua construction personnel including review, approval of health & safety work clearances for contractors.
• Perform a training needs assessment in conjunction with the EPCM contractor and develop a training plan for health, safety, security and training professionals.
• Work collaboratively with other Managers to define health, safety and security targets.
• Measure and monitor leading and lagging indicators for health, safety and security trends.
• Manage incident investigation process for high-risk incidents.
• Attend and jointly conduct safety meetings with the EPCM contractor and site construction contractors.
• Together with the EPCM contractor, manage site induction program for the Stibnite Gold Project.
• Coordinating all resource requirements including personnel, equipment, materials, etc. for the health, safety and security program.
• Oversee the preparation of weekly, monthly and ad hoc HSS KPI reports as required.
• Participate in risk reviews as required and provide regular updates.
• Coordinate with Operations in planning for Operational Readiness programs around health and safety.
• Adhere to all corporate policies, code of ethics and co es of conduct. Perform job-related administrative duties as required.

Schedule & Logistics

The Health, Safety & Security Manager will be primarily site-based at Stibnite during execution. However, the role may also be performed from Perpetuas offices in Donnelly or Boise, with occasional remote work flexibility where appropriate. As the project transitions from construction into operations, the work location may evolve in alignment with operational needs, leaving flexibility for the right candidate. The employee is responsible for providing their own transportation to the assigned office. Regular travel between Stibnite, Donnelly, and Boise will be required based on business needs.
