    • \n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n \n

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Florida or compact state\n
  • BLS Certification (required prior to first shift)\n
  • ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift)\n
  • Minimum 2 years of recent clinical experience in Med / Surg nursing\n
  • Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills\n
  • Ability to supervise and mentor LPNs, CNAs, and orientees\n

    • \n\nMed / Surg Nurse Responsibilities\n \n

  • Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans for medical-surgical patients\n
  • Deliver high-quality, safe, and compassionate care in accordance with hospital policies and procedures\n
  • Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes\n
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals in interdisciplinary team conferences\n
  • Initiate and coordinate discharge planning and patient / family education\n
  • Promote patient and employee safety through best practices in infection control and safe patient handling\n
  • Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel\n
  • Support unit operations and contribute to a positive healthcare team environment\n
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and seek opportunities for growth\n
