Job Title : Cath Lab Technologist Profession : Allied Specialty : Cardiac Cath Lab Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Days Hours per Shift : 10 hours Experience : Minimum 1 year License : Active state license required Certifications : ARRT, BLS, IEMA Must-Have : Previous cath lab experience Pediatric experience preferred but not required McKesson cardiology PACS experience preferred but not required Description : The Cath Lab Technologist will be responsible for scrubbing and monitoring hemodynamics during procedures. The technologist will circulate and assist in various cath lab cases. Common diagnoses and patient types will include a range of cardiac conditions. The Cath Lab operates with six suites and averages 10 to 15 cases per day. The role will require on-call duties on a rotational basis, with an expected call response time of 30 minutes. Weekend and holiday call requirements are also part of the job. There will be a primary charge nurse on each shift for guidance and support. Scrubs will be provided by the facility. The technologist will use EPIC, PACS, and McKesson systems for charting and diagnostics. Unit-specific orientation will generally take 3 to 5 days to complete. The position requires adherence to a mandatory call list when staff cannot fulfill their call shift. The work environment is fast-paced, and the technologist will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team.
