About The Position

Locum Neurosurgery Call Coverage Opportunity – Ohio

We are currently seeking a Board-Certified Neurosurgeon for a locum opportunity in Ohio. The role involves 24-hour call coverage for urgent and emergent neurosurgical cases at a Level 1 Trauma Center.

📅 Coverage Dates

Start : 7 : 00 AM, August 27, 2025

End : 7 : 00 AM, September 3, 2025

Ongoing monthly need – 1 week per month

🏥 Job Details

Practice Setting : Hospital

Call Schedule : 24-hour call

Daily OR Schedule : 8 AM – 12 PM (approximate)

Average Surgical Volume : 1–2 emergent cases per day

Trauma Level : Level 1

EMR : EPIC

Patient Population : Adult and Geriatric (primarily ED / emergent cases)

Team Structure : 1 employed and 1 non-employed neurosurgeon on staff

Neuro-Interventional Radiology : Available in-house

Neurosurgery – Adult & Trauma Focus

Brain bleed management

Clot removal

Tumor resection

Trauma repair

Shunt insertion and revision

Spine Surgery

Spine stabilization and reconstruction

Vertebroplasty and kyphoplasty

Spinal fusion

Laminectomy

Diskectomy

📋 Requirements

Board Certified in Neurosurgery – Required

Active Ohio Medical License – Required

BLS & ACLS Certifications – Required

Availability for full coverage dates – Required (August 27, 7 AM – September 3, 7 AM)
