As a Home Health Speech Language Pathologist, You will :
Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy servicesTeach patients how to make sounds and improve their voicesTeach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capabilityEducate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessionsDocument appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policyQualifications
Minimum of Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with accredited Speech Language Pathology programA minimum of one (1) year’s work experience as a Speech Language PathologistCurrent, unrestricted license as an Speech Language Pathologist by state in which practicingCurrent BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance state regulations
