General Surgeon Opportunity Southside Regional Medical Center Petersburg, VA

Southside Regional Medical Center is actively seeking a General Surgeon to join our well-established surgical practice in Petersburg, Virginia, just 30 minutes south of Richmond.

What We're Looking For :

Board-certified / eligible General Surgeon
5+ years of experience preferred
Strong skills in general surgery : hernia, gallbladder, abdominal surgeries
Experience or interest in colon cancer, anorectal disease, and colonoscopy is a plus
Bariatric experience or willingness to cover bariatric call highly preferred

What You Can Expect :

Full-time schedule : Monday Friday, 8am 5pm

Up to 7 call days / month (24hr shifts)

Mix of clinical, ER support, inpatient consults, and occasional primary call

Average 20 patients / day

Adult and geriatric patient base from primary care, ER, and inpatient referrals
