CARFAIR – MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (STARTING $23.96)
Carfair Composites is a leader in fibre-reinforced plastic (FRP) design and composites technology and has dedicated team members located in facilities between Winnipeg, MB (Canada), St. Cloud, MN (USA), and Anniston, AL (USA), Wausaukee, WI (USA) and Gillett, WI (USA).
POSITION SUMMARY :
This position will be temporary with the strong possibility for permanent placement. Under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures, in addition to performing grounds maintenance.
WHAT YOU WILL DO :
1. Monitors the use of and inventories of maintenance supplies and equipment
2. Maintains and repairs maintenance shop equipment
3. Maintains and updates the maintenance log
4. Makes recommendations for improving plant operations and efficiency
5. Communicates directly with supervisors and operations departments to coordinate maintenance and repair work in process areas
6. Installs, inspects, maintains and repairs new / existing machinery, equipment, and systems.
7. Cleans and lubricates parts for equipment and machinery
8. Ability to organize and prioritize workload.
9. Ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment.
10. Ability to work in harmony with others.
11. Plumbing maintenance and repairs.
12. Mechanical maintenance and repairs on all plant’s equipment.
13. Routine maintenance and repairs on Air-Makeup and Exhaust equipment.
14. Maintain maintenance records on all equipment and vehicles.
15. Electrical maintenance and repairs.
16. Work in dusty, humid, noisy environments
17. Follow health and safety policies and procedures
18. Perform other related duties assigned.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL :
Completion of High school diploma / GED
Physically capable to perform lifting, bending, and twisting from waist.
Capable of working on heights.
Experienced in operating a variety of equipment, including snow blowers, lawn mowers and small hand tools
Effective written and oral communication skills
Able to work well with minimal supervision
Ability to function within a manufacturing environment
