Orthopedic Surgery opening in IALocated in Decorah, IA; Rochester 70mFull Time; PermanentBE / BCWill be responsible for providing clinic-based orthopedic consultations and surgical procedures, primarily in joint replacements, sports medicine / arthroscopic surgery, and some traumaThe patient population may involve some pediatrics, but the majority of patients will be age 16 and upBecome a member of a team of two Orthopedic Surgeons, 1 Podiatrist, ortho / surgical PAs and nurses upon completion of recruitmentClose collaboration with a robust occupational health program facilitated by a well-trained advanced practice providerPotential outreach to surrounding communities within a 60-mile radiusGroup is the orthopedic and sports medicine provider for Upper Iowa University (UIU) and Luther CollegeOrthopedic surgeon serves as the team physician for the department of athletics and provides weekly training room and home event coverage for select eventsPrimary care physicians and advanced practice providers also serve as the student health service providers during the academic yearAbout the Area : Decorah, Iowa, is a city of 8,500 residents, and is located in the scenic bluff country of northeast Iowa along the picturesque banks of the Upper Iowa River.
