Responsibilities Position is in a hospital-based ICU that cares for oncology, thoracic surgical, and MICU patients Primary focus on thoracic surgeries, skin flaps, chest tube management, and esophagectomies Patient ratio is 1 : 2 in ICU and 1 : 4 when floating to MICU Average daily census is 12 patients, with 21 rooms and 25 beds Utilizes Tablo for dialysis patients and Pyxis for medication management EPIC is used for documentation Night shifts (3x12 hours) from 19 : 00 to 07 : 30, with weekends as needed Floating may occur within areas of competency, including MICU Trauma Level II facility Manager sets the schedule Care for a complex patient population including post-thoracic surgery and critically ill oncology patients Work alongside a multidisciplinary team with access to pharmacy, radiology, rapid response, respiratory services, and more First-time travelers are welcome Travel pairs permitted Black scrubs are required but not provided Flu vaccination or declination form required during flu season Former employees will not be considered for travel positions Locals accepted at local rate if residing within a 75-mile radius 12 hours of on-floor orientation provided Requirements Active GA or compact RN license required and must be in hand Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required At least 1 year of recent ICU experience required Trauma Level II facility experience required Certifications required : ACLS, BLS (AHA only), and Chemo Certification Competency required in dysrhythmia interpretation and management, multi-system organ failure, chronic / acute renal failure, CVVHD / CRRT, central line and PICC management, chemotherapy administration, ventilator management, infection prevention, and surgical wound care Epic EMR experience preferred Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-633575.
