An educational institution seeks a skilled Substitute Registered Nurse to support student health services on an as-needed basis. The selected RN will provide high-quality care within a K-12 school environment, ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of students during your assignments. A valid Washington RN license and completion of state fingerprinting are required.
Responsibilities :
Provide direct nursing care to students with acute or chronic health needs, including assessment, triage, and first-aid / intervention.
Maintain confidential health records and documentation in compliance with school and state regulations.
Collaborate with school staff and caregivers to promote safe health practices and respond to health emergencies.
Administer medications or treatments as prescribed, and monitor students for adverse reactions.
Participate in health screenings, immunization checks, and coordinate referrals when needed.
Qualifications / Desired Experience :
Active Washington State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Previous experience in pediatric, school-based, or pediatric outpatient nursing preferred.
Ability to complete state-mandated fingerprints and background clearance.
Strong interpersonal skills, calm demeanor in crisis situations, and professional communication.
Familiarity with school health policies, confidentiality (HIPAA / FERPA) and ability to work independently.

Compensation for this position ranges from $30.34 to $60.34. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
