Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Labor and Delivery Discipline : RN Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, days, nights, rotating Employment Type : Travel Job Overview A hospital in Blytheville, Arkansas is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment. This position follows a 36 / 48 night shift schedule and requires strong experience across all aspects of obstetric and newborn care, including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and nursery settings. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients during all phases of labor, delivery, and recovery. Monitor fetal heart tones and maternal vital signs, identifying and responding to complications promptly. Administer medications, assist with deliveries, and support postpartum recovery and newborn care. Collaborate with the obstetrics team to ensure a safe and positive birth experience. Educate patients and families on postpartum care and infant health. Requirements Active RN license in the state of Arkansas (or compact state). Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience. Certifications required : BLS, ACLS (AHA), NRP, and Fetal Heart Monitoring. Proficiency in caring for Antepartum, L&D, Postpartum, Mother / Baby, and Newborn Nursery patients. Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently on night shifts. Additional Details Schedule : 36 / 48 rotating night shifts. Contract Length : 13 weeks. Setting : Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn Nursery. Must hold current AHA certifications for BLS and ACLS. Additional Information L&D RN assignment – 13 weeks, 36 / 48 night shifts. Must be comfortable working Antepartum, L&D, Postpartum, Newborn Nursery, and Mother / Baby. Active RN license required. BLS, ACLS (AHA), NRP, and Fetal Heart Monitoring certifications required.
