POSITION SUMMARY

The Pre-Fit Assembler is responsible for the construction of all workpieces to be utilized in the fabrication of the fire apparatus body and / or pump modules. This position operates fabricating machinery such as shears and drill press. Pre- Fit Assemblers must manage the inventory for all material shelves in the department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The following are the essential duties of this position and do not include marginal functions that are incidental to the performance of fundamental job duties. The scope and duties of a given position may change or be temporarily altered based on the business needs of Rosenbauer.

• Fits all workpiece parts to be utilized for bodies and / or pump modules.
• Sets up and operates fabricating machines such as shears and drill presses.
• Verifies conformance of workpiece to specifications.
• Designs templates from blueprints to streamline construction process.
• Ensures that all parts and material shelves are filled with inventory and delivers materials to shelves when needed.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the organization and our members.

Tools to be utilized :

Hand tools, power tools, grinders, cut off wheels, shear, and tape measure.
