About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious RegionalFlatbed Truck Driver to join our growing team. You will operate classic, old-school long hood tractors pulling flatbed trailers to deliver freight Regionally and long haul at times. Minimal tarping.This position requires strong load securement skills, attention to safety, and pride in operating well-maintained, traditional-style equipment. If you appreciate the feel, style, and performance of a real truck, this is your kind of driving job. Minimal live load and unload cycles. All miles paid. Detention time paid by the hour after 2 hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a CDL Class A commercial vehicle with flatbed trailer to transport freight regionally.
- Secure loads using chains, binders, straps, and tarps in compliance with FMCSA load securement standards.
- Plan routes efficiently while complying with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle and trailer safety.
- Maintain cargo integrity and ensure timely deliveries.
- Complete and maintain accurate logs using ELD (Electronic Logging Device) , or AOBRD (Automatic Onboard Recording Device) systemsor paper log books.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, shippers, and receivers.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance when necessary.
- Adhere strictly to company safety standards and flatbed-specific hauling practices.
- At times you may pull different types of trailers, and freight when needed.
Qualifications
Valid CDL Class A license.Minimum [2] years of verifiable flatbed / stepdeck driving experience (flatbed experience preferred).Knowledge of flatbed load securement and tarping procedures.Clean driving record (MVR) and ability to pass DOT physical / drug screening.Familiarity with FMCSA regulations and Hours of Service requirements.Strong time management, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently.Willingness to work in various weather conditions during load securement and tarping.Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and handle tarps, straps, and chains (up to 75 lbs).Long periods of sitting, driving, and physical work for loading / unloading.Willingness to travel nationwide and be away from home for extended periods.Benefits
