MAJOR FUNCTION :
Responsible for the daily operation of the Clinical Dental Assistant Support Staff in their assigned dental location and dental assistant job duties. This position is a supervisory position with a direct report to the Dental Staff Manager. The summary functions include but are not limited to supervising the dental assistants, dental assistant job duties, daily maintenance routine for opening / closing of the dental office, assisting front desk support staff with efficient patient flow, assisting and training dental assistants in error free data entry in EDR and compliance with all CCHN policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITES :
Complete monthly facilities logsMake sure that daily / weekly logs are completed correctlyOrder the monthly dental supply for the siteCheck the Weekly Inventory Count (Covid19) for PPEComplete denture preauthorization requests, send them to the dental insurances, and document the responses to EDR.Supervise weekly huddleOversee site dental support staffHandle Patient complaintsMaintain dental equipmentConduct drillsMake sure that the site is following guidelines / regulations (Joint Commission, Sterilization etc.)Supervise the site sterilization of instruments and maintain sterilization certificationAssist dentists dailyCheck the competency of site dental assistants every annuallyConduct the performance evaluation of site dental assistants annuallyAttend biweekly team leaders’ meetings.Report monthly cash on hand and petty cash to JordanOTHER JOB DUTIES :

HS Diploma or equivalentGraduate from an approved educational program in dental assisting.Certificate in dental x-ray technology (Preferred).CPR RequiredBilingual (Spanish) desire.Works with hazardous and bio-hazardous materials.
