With a patient-centered approach, the physician will communicate care options, address concerns, answer questions, and use expertise to prevent illness and injury. Responsibilities include accurate and complete documentation for continuity of care, compliance, quality, safety, and billing; providing leadership and feedback to the clinical team; consulting with colleagues and referring patients when clinically appropriate; and ensuring availability for office visits, phone calls, electronic communication, and on-call coverage as outlined in agreements and policies. The physician will also participate in organizational efforts to improve quality, safety, and patient experience, engage in continuous learning and self-improvement, and perform additional duties as required by specialty. Required skills include excellent oral and written communication, respect for patient confidentiality, compassion, approachability, responsibility, and trustworthiness. Candidates must hold an MD or DO degree from an accredited medical or osteopathic school, be residency trained in their specialty, and possess a valid state license, board certification or eligibility, a valid DEA, and BLS or ACLS certification as required by the care setting.
