Case Manager
OVERVIEW
The Case Manager will work closely with attorneys and legal support staff to identify and address client needs while maintaining a trauma-informed approach supporting Community Legal Services (CLS) in delivering comprehensive legal services. This role involves connecting clients with community resources and social services reducing the burden on attorneys and legal staff ensuring a holistic approach to client care and facilitating a positive outcome in their case.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Support attorneys and legal support staff with client communication and holistic needs.Apply trauma-informed care practices resource coordination and community engagement in all responsibilities.Conduct virtual or in person contacts with clients with the dual purpose of assessing the well-being and needs of the client.Assist clients in accessing information related to supportive services to increase clients stability during pending legal matters.Identify and connect clients with community resources with a focus on addressing the clients needs in the following domains : housing stability risk factors food safety financial support mental health and overall wellbeing.Participate in community outreach efforts to strengthen resource networks and promote CLS services.Maintain a holistic view of client needs when multiple case files exist across various units.Maintain and update resource lists and contacts in our case management system for future client assistance.Keep accurate and contemporaneous client records and case notes documenting services and referrals provided within CLS policies and procedures.Submit detailed and thorough client documentation including but not limited to tracking outcomes and preparing reports on client progress services utilized and community partnerships for evaluation and improvement.Organize client interviews and internal communication in alignment with other firm appointments and legal deadlines.Maintain regular and timely communication with direct supervisor and legal team around any issues concerning clients stability and safety including trends challenges and successes in working with the client and similar populations.Maintain familiarity with CLS policies and procedures and ensure adherence to all standards and compliance measures.Uphold client confidentiality in all client interactions.Continue education on issues impacting vulnerable and low-income populations within the community.Ensure services are culturally responsive and accessible to clients of diverse backgrounds languages and abilities.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including social workers paralegals and community partners to coordinate client care and share relevant updates.Other duties as assigned.REQUIREMENTS

2. Background and Experience
Bachelors degree in a field related to human services delivery or two years of equivalent experience.Experience supporting clients who have experienced trauma with a focus on sensitivity and professionalism requiredDemonstrated ability to work with diverse groups of people.Strong communication and writing skills with a focus on client-centered communication.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with community partners and collaborate with legal professionals.Valid Florida automobile license use of own auto and proof of auto insurance necessary.Ability to perform duties and attend meetings and / or other functions throughout 12 county service area.3 . Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods siting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.STARTING SALARY : $55000 more with experience
