Overview
ABM is looking for an experienced, flexible, reliable, outgoing, and professional Business Analyst to join the onsite team for ABM Performance Solutions. This position is an integral part of the onsite client team that owns all facility services related data sources.
As the Facilities & Workplace Business Analyst, you will work closely with cross functional departments to ensure all teams are working towards the same data driven goals to influence and aid in facilities service business decision making for the client. This role will partner with other client departments such as People & Purpose, Business Technology, and Finance to ensure that we are successful in delivering on this goal.
This role will report to the Client Finance Lead and will be dedicated to one ABM client portfolio.
The Finance Associate will provide analytical support to their designated region. This person will be working closely with our Client Finance Lead and Finance Manager to assist in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, analytics, and developing KPI's. This is a key position that will interact with team members at all levels, requiring excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent computer skills, and exceptional problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
Work cross functionally with teams within ABM and the client to consolidate, manage and report on the operation and capital expenditure budgets
Partner with Finance to lead the client departments through the monthly financial forecasting and accrual process
Developing scalable and efficient financial processes that support a rapidly growing business
Participate in the short and long-term financial planning of the client organization
Build / maintain reports, dashboards, and metrics to monitor the performance of the organization's financial health and overall business metrics
Apply expertise in data analysis and visualization to see beyond the numbers and tell compelling stories with the data
Deliver data support for both short term and long term business development plans from strategic scope and execution aspects with in-depth analysis.
Actively support the gathering and maintenance of data points for various employee facing client resources
This is an individual contributor role, that will need to work with speed, agility, while being mindful of all the data and financials to help meet the business goals
Create a one source of truth reflected in an automated dashboard that reflects trends and recommendations on Workplace occupancy
Conduct complex research / analyses and participate in meetings with subject matter experts to capture data needs and reporting requirements while noting gaps and inefficiencies
Design advanced data queries / data models / dashboards based on clients' needs, which may require developing the right algorithm to extract / connect information from several different information systems
Ensure that all milestones and deliverables are met in the agreed upon timeline within the project plan
Essential Functions
Develop and maintain complex financial models to support strategic initiatives and business planning
Conduct reports and analysis related to annual budget, capex, and quarterly financial metrics
Review financial reporting for variances and advise on opportunities for improvement
Maintain and report monthly and quarterly operating financial metrics
Operational expense tracking against PO's.
Special projects and other duties as required
Budgeting & Forecasting :
Participate in the annual planning process with client partner.
Supports budget and forecasting activities with client partner.
Assist in monthly reporting, account spend, resource planning, and financial management for facilities management portfolio.
Designing and improving a budget tracking mechanism that Sr. FM can understand and provide actionable insights.
Account-Wide Analytics :
Build and report on account wide spending habits, highlighting variances and provide recommendations to stakeholders on improving efficiency.
Track spend for cost savings. Utilizing statistical analysis to identify sources that consume more budget than required; investigate and provide executive summaries.
New Site / Market Forecasts :
Utilize current sites to model run-rates based on site activity factors.
Assist in creating new site budgets on short-term notice.
Qualifications
10+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience with emphasis on Facilities Services
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field
Financial and data analytics expertise and familiarity with accounting and financial concepts of facilities services, capital projects and operations expenses
Other Qualifications
Proficiency in Microsoft and Google Suites, preferred experience with Google products
Proficiency in financial statement analysis
Ability to work well independently with high attention to detail
MBA in finance, data analytics, or CPA preferred
Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis
Ability to create dashboards
Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools and other financial systems
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required
3-5 years of experience in finance and accounting is required
Advanced working knowledge of Excel and other MS Office products
Working knowledge of Hyperion SmartView is required
Experience in Anaplan is preferred
Ability to present financial data concisely, utilizing visualizations when necessary
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize projects and execute and deliver key objectives in a timely manner
Familiarity with Balance Sheet and Income Statements
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Ability to take direction from supervisors and aggressively contribute to departmental discussions pertaining to problem-solving
Pay : $110,000 - $117,000 DOE
The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.
You may be eligible to participate in a Company incentive or bonus program.
