Principal Infra Developer / Devops Engineer

Cognizant is seeking a Principal DevOps Developer to leverage your expertise in OpenShift, Docker Container and Kubernetes to design and implement robust infrastructure solutions. With a hybrid work model involving some work office in San Francisco, CA, you will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to enhance our infrastructure capabilities, ensuring scalability and efficiency in our operations.

The salary range for this role is $114,000 to $133,500 depending on skills and qualifications of the candidate. Applications will be accepted until 11 / 14 / 2025.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable infrastructure solutions using OpenShift, Docker Container and Kubernetes to meet organizational needs.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate infrastructure solutions seamlessly into existing systems.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members ensuring best practices in infrastructure development.
• Oversee the deployment and management of containerized applications ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Monitor and optimize infrastructure performance identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
• Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure processes and configurations to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity.
• Conduct regular assessments of infrastructure security and implement measures to protect against vulnerabilities.
• Lead efforts to automate infrastructure processes enhancing efficiency and reducing manual intervention.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand infrastructure requirements and deliver solutions that align with business objectives.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance infrastructure capabilities and support innovation.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all infrastructure activities.
• Provide training and support to team members on infrastructure tools and technologies fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Contribute to the development of infrastructure strategies and roadmaps aligning with organizational goals.
