The California Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board’s Redding office has an opening for an Environmental Scientist in the Storm Water / Water Quality Certifications Unit.
The position is located at 364 Knollcrest Drive, Suite 205, Redding, CA 96002.
Under the close supervision of a Senior Environmental Scientist and consistent with good customer service practices and the goals of the State and Regional Board’s Strategic Plan, the incumbent is expected to be courteous and provide timely responses to internal / external customers, follow through on commitments, and to solicit and consider internal / external customer input when completing work assignments.
Duties :
The incumbent will perform professional duties related to the Water Quality Certifications Program of the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board.
This work includes permit development, compliance evaluation, field investigations, enforcement, and participation in meetings with other state agencies, federal agencies, local governments, watershed groups, applicants, consultants, and the public.
