Restaurant General Manager
Location : Beaumont TX
Compensation : $70,000+ DOE + Commission / Bonus Opportunities
Schedule : Full-time | 6am-3pm Daily
About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic, hands-on General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our client's restaurant. As the leader of our team, you'll cultivate a positive and productive work environment, deliver exceptional guest experiences, and drive operational excellence and profitability.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Operational Management : Plan, direct, and supervise daily restaurant operations to ensure efficiency and profitability, adhering to company guidelines.
Staff Leadership & Development :
Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and supervise all staff (FOH & BOH).
Coach, motivate, and foster a high-performance environment.
Conduct manager meetings and regular staff evaluations.
Customer Service :
Guarantee 100% guest satisfaction, engaging with guests and addressing complaints promptly and professionally.
Ensure managers are actively present on the floor interacting with tables.
Food Quality & Safety :
Maintain high standards of food quality and compliance with recipe specs.
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including food handling and Serve Safe standards.
Financial & Inventory Management :
Drive restaurant profitability through sales growth, budgeting, and analytics.
Manage labor costs, COGS, and inventory controls.
Analyze sales and performance metrics; understand and oversee P&L statements.
Marketing & Promotions : Collaborate on marketing efforts to enhance restaurant visibility and patronage.
Administrative Duties :
Complete daily, weekly, and monthly paperwork (sales, attendance reports, etc.).
Compliance : Ensure full compliance with all company policies, health, safety, and TABC regulations.
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum of 5-10 years progressive experience in restaurant management or commercial foodservice, including managing operations and staff.
Proven success in managing costs, labor, and financial planning.
Serve Safe and TABC (Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission) certifications required.
Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
Ability to train, inspire, and motivate teams.
Must be at least 18 years old and able to pass a background check.
Flexible schedule openings, closings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for long periods.
Compensation & Benefits
Starting salary of $70,000+, based on experience
