Director of Finance & Operations
We are seeking a strategic, hands-on Director of Finance & Operations to design and manage the financial and operational framework of Ovation. Your role will bring clarity to our finances, streamline processes, and introduce disciplined growth management.

Role Summary
- Report directly to Founder / CEO and serve on the leadership team
- Lead Finance (reporting, forecasting, KPI analysis) and Accounting (AP / AR, month-end close)
- Develop and enhance core operations including processes, systems, and infrastructure
- Align finances and operations with strategic goals partnering closely with CEO, sales, product, customer success, and marketing teams
- Ideal for candidates who excel in system building, financial analysis, and operational scaling
Key Responsibilities
Accounting (30%) : Manage AP / AR using BILL, ensure accurate billing via Salesforce and Stripe reporting, perform month-end close including bank reconciliations and revenue reporting, process payroll & reimbursements with Gusto twice monthly, and coordinate with external accountants / auditors for compliance.Finance (50%) : Monitor financial metrics (GRR / ARR / MRR, churn, CAC, LTV, gross margin, burn rate), prepare monthly / quarterly financial reports, manage budgets and forecasts, oversee cash flow, capital allocation, and support system implementations, pricing, ROI, and fundraising efforts.Operations & Processes (20%) : Implement and optimize CRM, ERP, and BI tools, standardize procedures, define KPIs, ensure regulatory compliance (tax, payroll, registrations), manage employment compliance and benefits, oversee vendor contracts and risk policies, support SOC 2 readiness for fundraising / M&A, and maintain investor data room.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related fieldStrong GAAP knowledge5+ years experience in finance and accounting, preferably in SaaS, technology or high-growth startupsExpertise in spreadsheets (Excel, Google Sheets), financial modeling, and forecastingDeep understanding of ARR, churn, NRR, CAC, LTV, gross marginCross-functional collaboration experienceFamiliarity with BILL / Divvy, Stripe, QuickBooks Online, SalesforceStrong communication skills to translate complex data for non-finance teamsSelf-starter comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environmentsWhy Join Ovation Up?
