Description
Our client a prominent local CPA firm with 120 plus professionals seeks a Tax Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity in a growing firm for the right individual interested in advancing to Partner. Key responsibilities include :
- Review federal and multi-state returns and projections for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts
- Through firm-sponsored and self-directed training, stay current on tax law and other research in order to ensure the proper identification and resolution of complex tax issues; communicate findings to colleagues
- Lead teams, provide feedback, and mentor individuals in order to ensure excellent work product
- Communicate status to partners and maintain positive relationships with client
- Ensure utmost client trust in team
- Advise client on tax planning and income tax issues
- Assist staff in work-flow and project management
Qualifications & Required Experience
Minimum of 8 years recent experience with a CPA firm. Masters of Taxation preferredAbility to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and budgetsAbility to mentor staff and seniors, assist in the supervision of the tax departmentAbility to recognize, evaluate and communicate potential tax risks and planning opportunitiesOversee all aspects of Individual, Partnership, Corporate, Trust and Estate issuesReview returns and research complex tax mattersProvide consulting and compliance workExcellent written and verbal communication skillsOur client's employee you can expect :
