Position Title : Driver
Department : Department of Finacial Services
Exempt Status : Hourly / Non-Exempt
Supervisor : Transportation Supervisor
GENERAL SUMMARY :
The Transportation Driver will be responsible for transportation services provided
by the Community and that the services provided are to the satisfaction
of residents utilizing transportation services provided by the community.,
PRINCIPLE DUTIES :

Other duties will be assigned as needed) Must be willing and able to do the following :
- Responsible for transporting residents to grocery store, monthly outings, and extended
trips as scheduled.
Assist residents on and off bus / van, tracking attendance and coordinatingequipment (walkers, wheelchairs, canes etc.)
Load groceries and other purchased items into bus / vanSchedule and coordinate routine vehicle maintenanceClean and wash vehicle regularlySupports creating a culture where the business decisions made in this position,along with individual employee engagement, drive top-line revenue and
occupancy
Observe and abide by all regulations to ensure that personal health information isprotection during its collection, use, disclosure, storage, and destruction within the
community : and to ensure only the minimum necessary information is known to
function in this position
Follow written and oral directionsMaintain confidentiality of resident and community informationComplete assignments timely, completely and accuratelyAttend all in-services as assigned or requestedParticipate in interdisciplinary team and other community meeting assigned orrequested
Consistently work cooperatively with residents, co-workers, physicians, families,consultant personnel and other ancillary service providers
Observe all community safety policies and procedures to ensure resident safety atall times
QUALIFICATIONS :
High school diploma or GED requiredMinimum six (6) months experience as a bus / van driver requiredMust possess current and valid driver’s license consistent with the requirementsdetermined by size of vehicle and laws of the state in which the driver is licensed
Must possess personal driving record consistent with the requirements of theDriver Selection Policy
Ability to speak, read, and comprehend the English languageMust be artistically creative, motivational, and energetic with a passion forserving others
Must possess patience and sensitivity to others’ needs; ability to work withcommunity groups; willingness to work beyond normal working hours
Familiarity with required electronics, including but not limited to iPads, tablets,smart TVs, and digital cameras
Good communication skills (oral and written)Good inter-department communication and teamwork skillsWillingness to be available for any / all emergencies regarding the communityRequirements :
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORKING CONDITIONS :
Lifts and carries up to 100 lbs. with assistance occasionallyPushes and pulls up to 100 lbs. occasionallyClimbs, reaches, bends and twists occasionallyTalks and listens occasionallySits 4 hours per day; stands and walks 4 hours per day (combined) – 8 hr. dayWorker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions.Uses tools and equipment on the job such as : Personal computer, Bus, van, andgeneral automobile, Cellular phone, CB, and / or 2-way radio
