Basic computer knowledge

Basic knowledge of how to operate an iPhone

Ability to monitor a high volume of patients and maintain calm during stressful situations

Description :

The Central Monitoring Unit monitors an average of 336 patients each day.

The unit consists of 65 total staff members.

There are 40+ patients assigned to each monitor tech.

Essential skills include analyzing and interpreting heart rhythms.

The role involves building end-of-shift reports within monitoring systems.

Staff will add and discharge patients from the monitoring system.

Communication with floor staff is required via desktop phone and mobile application.

Candidates should demonstrate multi-tasking abilities.

A positive attitude and energetic demeanor are crucial.

Respectfulness, attention to detail, and organization are essential traits.

Candidates must cope with stress in a professional manner.

Weekend shifts and on-call shifts are required.

The position involves lots of sitting, though desks are adjustable for standing.

Applicants will be cross-trained on various monitoring systems.

The unit does not offer cafeteria services; staff must bring their own food or order from nearby restaurants.
