Safariland Law Enforcement Sales Representative
Together, we save lives. Responsible for the territory penetration, sales & business development, and servicing of Safariland law enforcement equipment to law enforcement agency end users and regional distributors within the Pacific Northwest region; inclusive of WA, OR, ID, AK, WY, & MT. Law enforcement industry (or related) background preferred. We've found that Law Enforcement Officers with leadership experience and / or equipment evaluation experience (i.e. : SWAT) are ideal for these roles when considering a 2nd career. The successful candidate will need to quickly become adept at strategically working agency sales cycles to uncover, develop, and close law enforcement agency opportunities. These opportunities will extend across a range of law enforcement equipment solutions in the Safariland assortment including body armor, ballistic helmets and shields, tactical gear, communications, and holsters / duty gear. Candidates must currently reside within the greater Seattle, WA or Portland, OR markets.
Responsibilities
Achievement of territory revenue goals and sales opportunity pipeline KPI's
Develop and implement strategic plans for penetrating key agency customers
Responsible for the training of distributor personnel to facilitate the sales and servicing of Safariland products to agencies
Partner with distributor personnel to uncover, strategically pursue, and close law enforcement agency opportunities
Partner with internal cross functional teams to drive assigned projects to their successful conclusion inclusive of Business Units, Pricing and Sales Operations, Customer Service, Technical Specialists, and Marketing
Conduct agency discovery meetings; deliver sales presentations and product demonstrations to agency end-users
Monitor and control travel expenses within establish budget parameters
Provide competitive market intelligence
Adhere to Safariland's Code of Conduct standards
Monitor and manage all test and evaluation samples
Coordinate and attend various industry trade shows while facilitating new business opportunities and building customer relationships
Position reports to the West Region Sales Director
Qualifications
High school Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
Minimum 2 years sales working directly with a customer base in law enforcement or military OR 5+ years of experience in law enforcement
Experience in a role with responsibility evaluating and procuring tactical equipment for law enforcement agencies a plus
Up to 60% overnight travel will be required to effectively manage this territory
Candidates must reside in the greater Seattle, WA or Portland, OR metropolitan areas; applications from interested candidates outside of these markets will not be considered
