As a Security Guard - Afternoon Patrols in Phoenix, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a bustling retail distribution environment. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide outstanding customer service and communication to everyone on site. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and respond promptly to any security-related concerns, all while upholding our values of agility, reliability, and teamwork. Pay Rate : $21.50 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime

Mon 01 : 00 PM - 09 : 00 PM

Tue 01 : 00 PM - 09 : 00 PM

Fri 01 : 00 PM - 09 : 00 PM

Sat 01 : 00 PM - 09 : 00 PM

Sun 01 : 00 PM - 09 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a positive environment for visitors and staff.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist visitors and employees with directions and general inquiries, maintaining a professional presence at all times.
  • Support access control measures by monitoring entrances and exits as required by site procedures.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site management to address security-related needs and concerns.

  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • A valid guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
