Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for the 2025-2026 academic year in Newark, Ohio, serving students from PreK through 12th grade. These contract positions are designed for dedicated professionals holding the ASHA Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) and the Ohio state licensure required to provide speech-language services within K-12 educational settings.

Two positions are open :

  • Position 1 : Full-time, 5 days per week, located at East Muskingum
  • Position 2 : Four days per week, at New Lexington

Both roles involve working with a diverse caseload of general and special education students across early childhood through high school who present with a variety of speech and language disabilities.

Essential Qualifications and Experience :

  • ASHA Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Valid Ohio Speech-Language Pathology licensure
  • Experience providing speech therapy to school-aged children from PreK to 12th grade
  • Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Knowledge of current best practices in school-based speech-language pathology
  • Key Responsibilities :

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Provide evidence-based speech-language therapy tailored to student needs
  • Document student progress and maintain compliance with educational regulations
  • Support students in general education and special education environments
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to intervention planning
  • Location Details :

    Primary service areas include Newark, Dresden, and Cambridge, Ohio, with administrative oversight from Zanesville.
