Job descriptionProvide exceptional customer service to visitors and employees by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including emergency response activities as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for unusual conditions. Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter theft, vandalism, and other unwanted behaviors. Report and document any security-related incidents, hazards, or suspicious activities according to established protocols. Work collaboratively with store management and Allied Universal team members to address security-related concerns and provide a visible presence. Assist with crowd control and / or access control during peak periods or special events at the location. Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available A valid New York State Security Guard License is required. A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only. Security Professional - Unarmed Retail Patrol
As a Security Professional - Unarmed Retail Patrol in Rochester, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more.
As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. This is a driving position, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will represent Allied Universal's values by acting with integrity, working as part of a team, and putting people first while supporting a secure atmosphere for everyone at the location.

- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
