SUMMARY

The Cook will transform high-quality, unique ingredients into authentic dishes through preparing, cooking and plating food and dishes as directed by senior culinary staff, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards. The Cook will have a passion for cooking, the desire to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment, and a commitment to contributing to a positive café team ethos.

Essential Functions

• Prepare all menu items according to recipe requirements and adhere to product sensitivity and plate presentation guidelines.
• Work with speed and efficiency to ensure proper and timely output of restaurant menu items.
• Ensure compliance with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout the shift.
• Accommodate special requests and dietary restrictions.
• Ensure ingredient freshness by checking for quality and keeping track of old and new items.
• Maintain proper food temperatures and storage conditions.
• Set up the workstation with all ingredients and cooking equipment.
• Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform any other relevant duties as assigned by kitchen supervisor or MOD.
