Position Summary :
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will play a crucial role in providing top-tier care and services to residents. Your responsibilities will include safely administering medications and treatments, supervising Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and supporting residents in their daily activities. You will promote a safe, organized, and compassionate environment while ensuring compliance with our mission and policies.
Key Responsibilities :
Medication Administration & Documentation :
- Administer medications and treatments following the Six Rights of Medication Pass : right resident, medication, dosage, time, route, and right to refuse.
- Document medication administration accurately and ensure timely delivery.
- Record any refusals or missed doses according to protocol.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of resident information and medication records.
- Collaborate with another Medication Care Nurse to count and verify narcotics.
Resident Care & Communication :
Monitor resident conditions and assess needs to ensure optimal care.Stay updated on resident status by reviewing the Daily Log.Report any resident concerns to the Nurse Manager during medication rounds.Exemplify and promote the mission and values of our organization in every interaction.Supervision & Compliance :
Oversee and provide support to CNAs.Manage the admission, transfer, and discharge processes for residents.Practice standard precautions for hygiene, cleanliness, and infection control.Ensure compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards in all care and services provided.Qualifications :
Current license to practice as an LPN is required.Experience in long-term care is preferred.Must meet eligibility requirements to work in long-term care based on NYS HCS guidelines.Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.A passion for serving and caring for seniors is strongly preferred.Demonstrate good judgment and decision-making abilities, advocating for residents' best interests.Ability to maintain composure in challenging situations.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency in problem-solving and decision-making processes.You deserve the BEST, and we are seeking the BEST!
