AlliedTravelCareers is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Gallipolis, Ohio, 45631!

Pay Information

$1,500 per week

About The Position

Job Title : Speech and Language Pathologist

Profession : Speech and Language Pathologist

Specialty : Staff Augmentation

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day

Hours per Shift : 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM

Experience : Minimum years of experience required

Description :

Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine the level of receptive and expressive speech and language skills, swallowing skills, and social / pragmatic skills.

Develop, modify, and implement individual and group therapy / treatment programs to enhance communication, address swallowing deficiencies, and prevent asphyxiation.

Recommend changes in food texture and consistency of liquids during meals and snacks.

Confer with medical staff regarding medications to improve swallowing.

Participate in or suggest participation in swallowing studies and follow-ups based on assessment results.

Design and deliver speech, language, and dysphagia management services, which may include hearing screenings.

Provide training and support for individuals using hearing aids and developing social communication skills.

Create lesson plans and demonstrate language techniques, including the use of augmentative communication devices.

Design and deliver in-service training to staff on speech-language techniques and protocols for individual and group therapies.

Act as a sign language interpreter as necessary.

Participate as a member of an interdisciplinary team to provide professional insight and goal planning for treatment and care.

Attend meetings, workshops, and seminars to enhance professional skills and knowledge.

Counsel and inform guardians and family members regarding speech-language, hearing, and swallowing issues.

Compose and complete reports, lesson plans, and other program-related documents to implement, modify, and track treatment progress.

Operate personal computer using office systems software and / or specialized communication software to create and manage records and reports.

Maintain electronic augmentative communication devices and hearing aids.
