Sandblaster / Painter

Pay Rate : $25-$25

Schedule : Monday–Friday, 40 hours / week

Start Date : November 1st

Travel : Required – Per diem and lodging provided

Job Overview :

Seeking skilled and reliable sandblasters and painters experienced in water tank maintenance and repair. Work involves preparing, sandblasting, and applying protective coatings to potable and non-potable water tanks. This role requires strong safety focus, quality workmanship, and the ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.

Key Responsibilities :

Prepare surfaces by sandblasting water tanks to remove rust, old paint, and contaminants

Apply industrial coatings such as epoxies, urethanes, or zinc-based primers using airless spray and other methods

Assist with water tank repairs including patching, welding prep, and basic mechanical tasks if needed

Operate and maintain blasting and painting equipment safely

Read and interpret job specifications, safety data sheets (SDS), and coating manufacturer instructions

Work safely at heights and in confined spaces, adhering to all PPE and safety protocols

Clean and maintain job site and equipment at shift end

Coordinate with other trades and crews to meet project deadlines

Requirements :

Proven industrial sandblasting and painting experience, preferably with water tanks or large industrial structures

Knowledge of surface prep standards and industrial coatings

Comfortable with confined space entry and working at heights

Able to wear full PPE including respirators

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

OSHA 10 / 30, Confined Space Entry, Fall Protection certifications preferred

Strong work ethic and teamwork skills

Physical Requirements :

Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, stand, kneel, bend for extended periods

Tolerant to varied weather conditions (heat, cold, humidity)
